See..if u are using a proxy server and if any user connected to it is downloading u will not be able to download. I think that seems to be the problem. Even if the machine with the IP address is hung while downloading , it has to be stopped. Then only u can download from rapidshare..

remove the internet connection, unplug the router for 5 minutes...then connect back everything, that should work....
if that is not working go to command prompt and type in ipconfig /flushdns that should take care of the problem |
